MARRIED.

Monday was married at Margate, Mr. William Stannard of the "Foy-Boat," public house at that place to Miss May, of Reculver.

From the Kentish Gazette, 25 September 1810.

On Wednesday evening a serious occurrence took place at Margate. A Midshipman belonging to the Furious gun brig stabbed one of the seamen of that ship with his dirk, in several parts of his body, for a non-compliance with orders; it is said they were both intoxicated. He was immediately conveyed to the "Foy Boat" public-house, where he was attended by the surgeon of the ship, and the next morning was reported to be in some danger. The offender who secured for the night, and the following day was given over to the Captain of the ship, to be tried by a Court Martial.
