Previously known as the "Railway Tavern" I have been informed that the pub was mysteriously destroyed by fire on the 13th September 1984.

Bought by the late John Kray it was now run by one of his sons & called the "Quayside," sold on John Kray's eldest Stephen has the 'Bear Hotel' in Rochester, & his youngest son John the 'Savoy Snooker Lounge' in Whitstable

The "Punch Tavern" after renovation reopened as the "Quayside".
