I also have reference to a "Railway Tavern" addressed at 65 High Street which may be the same as this, although the names of the licensees overlap.

The Isle of Thanet Williams Directory of 1849 describes this as a Hotel and Commercial Tavern and the licensee also a wine and spirit merchant.
