From the Faversham Gazette, Saturday 8 December 1855.

The license of the "Tuns" public-house, was endorsed until next transfer day, to Peter Skelton, of the "Royal Oak."

The license of the "Royal Oak" public-house, was also endorsed to James Hammond, of the Ville of Saint Gregory, Canterbury.
