49 (40) High Street Dartford
Listed as being present in 1707 from the Alehouse Keepers Recognizance's of 1707. This was a tied "Fleet Brewery" pub in 1865 when the brewery was put up for auction. I believe the pub finally closed its doors around 1914. There is also listed another "Crowne" in the same document and in the same location of High Street, but I am assuming that this is an error of duplication and not two pubs with the same name in the same street in the same year. Today, (2016) an Iceland store stands where the pub used to.
