Serving in 1690 and may have become the "Crown," according to the book Cheers by Chris Baker and Graham Hinkley. However, I am not yet convinced that is correct yet.

The "Dolphin" was also listed as being open in the Alehouse Keepers Recognizences of 1707.

However, there is reference to the "Dolphin Inn" being in existence between 1707 and finally closing in 1905.
