The building we see today is not the original, and unfortunately as yet I do not know how old the original is, do know the old build was situated behind the new on what is the car-park today and was built just before the old one was demolished. Local knowledge appreciated please. The current pub is very similar in build to the "World's Wonder" in Warehorn, the "Carpenter's Arms" at Hadlow, the "Black Boy" at Sidcup, the "Welcome Inn" in Eltham, the "Bell" at Coxheath, the "Redstart Inn" at Barming, the "Ship" at Lydd on Sea, and the "Papermaker's Arms" in Hawley.
