I have reference to another "Woodman" addressed in Slade Green. I have also seen this one addressed as is Barnhurst. It is suggested by Jim Packer that the pub was previously called the "Cherry Tree" or the "Cherry Gardens" and had changed name to the "Woodman" by 1871 as shown in the census.
As you can see from above the building was demolished in December 2014 and replaced with more flats by September 2015.
I have just added this pub to that list but your help is definitely needed regarding it's history. As the information is found or sent to me, including photographs, it will be shown here. Thanks for your co-operation.
