Sundridge

This house was shown in a list of public houses said to be open in the first 25 years of the 18th century, as mentioned in an article by the Sevenoaks Chronicle and Kentish Advertiser, 23 January, 1903. At present, no other information is known accept that it opened in 1722.

From the Kent and Sussex Courier, 6 February, 1880.

RIVERHEAD LICENSING BUSINESS.

At the Sevenoaks Petty Sessions on Friday last.

The Bench granted leave to William Knight to carry on the licence of the “Rose and Crown Hotel” until the next transfer day.

(I am not convinced that the above refers to this pub. There are also a "Rose and Crown" in Sevenoaks and another "Rose and Crown" in Seal. At present I do not know of a Knight at either though.)
