Ramada Hotel Dover to be refurbished ahead of "Holiday Inn" rebrand.
It will temporarily be named "Leaf Hotel" Dover before a full rebrand.
The Ramada Hotel Dover has officially changed its name to Leaf Hotel
Dover as of today (January 3).
It comes as owners Leaf Hotel Groups reveal plans for a "major
refurbishment" ahead of a rebrand to Holiday Inn Dover.
The 4 star hotel in Singledge Lane in Whitfield will join the
Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) by 2020.
IHG currently own 5,518 hotels across the globe and boasts to be one of
the leading companies of its kind.
Plans for the refurbishment include alterations to The Olive Tree
Restaurant, the Costa Coffee lounge and the lobby to give it a "modern
and spacious ambiance".
Kanagaratnam Rajamenon, Managing Director, said: "We are on a journey to
join Intercontinental Hotels Group by 2020 and we have exciting plans to
refurbish the public areas and guest rooms of the 4 star hotel to meet
the needs of the 21 century hotel guest and the brand standards of IHG.
"Whilst we carry out this rebranding project from Ramada Dover to
Holiday Inn Dover, the hotel will continue to operate as normal with the
name Leaf Hotel Dover."
The Leaf Hotels group also run the Best Western Clifton Hotel in
Folkestone and the Holiday Inn Express in Canterbury.
