Unknown pub 123

Postcard postmarked Sevenoaks, February 1914.

Rory Kehoe's find again, this time from a postcard dated February 1914 and from the Sevenoaks area. Rory says:- Good chance then, that the charabanc outing was the previous summer. Not many other clues really but the front of the pub, with its stepped entrance and bay windows, makes it a fair bet that this was a larger, possibly better class of establishment.

Martin Archer says there is a slight resemblance here to the "Rose and Crown," in Sevenoaks.

Matt Minch goes on to say the following:- "I saw that grainy top picture pop up on facebook recently with people suggesting it was a pub.

I don’t think it was, Census and directory’s show as follows- 1900 directory shows it as solicitors and then as a confectioners in 1902, 1920's same, 1930's same, then Leaders in 1941.

So not a pub in anyone's living memory as people remember Leaders being there."
