Reference has been found from the Cobb Brewery records stating that
William Fisher was the licensee in 1837.
The pub closed in 1851 and the building no longer exists.

FREEHOLD COMMERCIAL INN AND PUBLIC HOUSE, HERNE BAY, KENT.
With Possession, Messrs. WARLTERS and LOVEJOY WILL SELL BY AUCTION.
At Garraway's Change Alley, on TUESDAY, June 11th, at Twelve, by
order of the Mortgagees under power of Sale,
A most desirable FREEHOLD INN and WINE VAULTS, known as the "Collard
Arms," the corner of Mortimer street, in the best part of that
fashionable watering-place, Herne Bay, Near Canterbury, Kent.
The premises have been recently built in a substantial manner, and
adapted for general business; the neighbourhood is thickly inhabited
and daily improving. The house contains numerous bed rooms, dining
room, and offices of every description for conducting a large
business with carriage yard, stall-stabling for ten horses, coach
house, lofts, &c., and immediate possession will be given.

COLLARD ARMS, HERNE BAY.
To be let or sold, with immediate possession, this free Public
House, with excellent cellars, commodious rooms, stall stabling for
ten horses, carriage yard and other conveniences, commandingly
situated at the corner of Underdown Street and Mortimer Street for
carrying on a good trade.

POSSESSION.
Mr. PRICE WILL SUBMIT AT PUBLIC AUCTION,
AT Garraway’s, Cornhill. LONDON', on FRIDAY, March 17th, at 12 for 1
o’clock, by order of the Mortgagee, under a Power of Sale, a
desirable FREEHOLD INN and Wine Vaults, of substantial brick
erection, pleasantly situate in an elevated part of that highly
improving and fashionable watering-place, HERNE HAY, and known as
the "Collard Arms," being the Corner of Underdown Street
and
Mortimer Street.
