7 Middle Row Faversham
The "Star Inn" closed on 5 October 1984, displayed an unusual sign in its latter days as a Whitbread Fremlin house. The scene depicted an astronaut on the moon, gazing at a distant bright star. The pub was one of the oldest in Faversham, dating from the late sixteenth century, and was known successively as the "Chequer" and "Gun Inn;" the Star was probably adopted in the early 1800s.
