Situated next door to the "Port Merchant" sold to the Deal Pavement Commissioners in 1836 for redevelopment, along with the "Port Merchant."

This pub has had many names before finally finishing with the "Waterman's Arms."

In 1836 the premises was sold to the Deal Pavement Commission and later demolished for the development of what we still see today (2021) as the promenade.

However, another pub with the name of the "Waternman's Arms" appeared also in Beach Street, numbered 91 (128 in 1881) in 1866
