THURSDAY.
James Jones, was charged with uttering a counterfeit shilling at a
beershop in Beresford-square, kept by Mr. William Dunstan, from
whose evidence it appeared that the prisoner presented the coin in
payment for a glass of ale, but when witness discovered that it was
counterfeit, the prisoner snatched it up and threw it into the road.
The prisoner was remanded.
