Traced so far from between 1862 and 1903. By 1917 the premises was under the rule of H Burville and was a fish restaurant.

E. C. RAYNER, SHAKSPEARE TAVERN, Butchery Lane, Canterbury, BEGS to return thanks for the kind patronage he has received since he entered upon the above-named House, and to assure the Public that every attention shall continue to be paid to the accommodation of his friends.

The Billiard Room has been newly renovated, and the Table fitted in the first style.

CITY PETTY SESSIONS—Thursday.

There were six applications for new licenses.

Mrs. Martin, for the “Kent Arms,” St. Dunstan's; and Mr. Dombrain, who was represented by Mr. Gee, for a house situate nearly opposite to the intended East Kent Railway Station, in St. Mildred's.

The whole of these, were refused.

Isaac Pierce, for the "Millers Arms," Pound-lane.

James Henry Robins, for the "Sovereign," Castle-street.

Richard Yeomans, for the "Steam Packet," North-lane.

John Sidney Hawkes, for the "Cannon Inn," Northgate sic.

Edward Yeomans, for the "Man of Kent."

John Gillis, for the "Fortune of War."

A billiard license was granted to William Dilnot Wildish, Parade. Possible "Brewery Tap."
